Munni passed her exams!

That's her in her in the white sari, her school uniform. Now she's got to wait and see if she'll get into Serampore College. Sunita, her aunt, (next to her in the photo) works as a cleaner and a cook in the college, so we're keeping our fingers crossed that she'll get in. She has a good chance.

I wanted to show this photo so you can see where they live, in this one room. Carol, taking the photo, is by the bed where they both sleep and the bed takes up the rest of the space in the room. Munni has done especially well, given her circumstances. But she couldn't have got anywhere without Sunita. I've blipped about her before, about how she was cleaning floors from when she was a tiny wee girl, and wasn't given an education, and she's been determined that her niece will get one. And look how she's succeeded.
