In the rain

Back at the farm, we were hoping to mow the grass for silage tomorrow, but it poured down this afternoon and it's still drizzling now. So the grass will probably still be too wet to mow tomorrow. You know the old saying "Make hay while the sun shines" - we need the sun to come back...

When it started raining, the cows and calves raced for shelter under a field maple tree. You can see Victor, the Simmental bull, in the centre of the group next to the white heifer.
