Sally Mair - Loving life

Eyemouth

I was in Eyemouth again last night for a Cursillo event. The drive down through driving rain was spectacular but not too busy thank goodness.
I had time to wander around the town before we all met up and spent a long time watching the seals in the harbour. There were around 10 that I could see, completely unperturbed by the boats coming and going around them and all the various busy activities. The sun was out and it was a beautiful evening.
We were meeting in St Ebba's church which was transformed internally a number of years ago into a very warm and welcoming space.
We started the evening in the traditional way(when here) with take away fish and chips! So fresh.
After the important business of eating was over and the various tasks for which we had met, were completed, the evening finished with Compline. A lovely quiet service to end the day.
I drove to my friend's house in Coldstream to spend the night, but we were so tired when we got there that it was straight to bed!
My collage has various scenes from around the harbour including the seals, a young guillemot, a heron and a young herring gull with a small flat fish that it just couldn't work out how to deal with!
