On our journey we called in to see a friend in Cirencester which was one of the most important towns in Roman times with many artifacts and mosaics still being unearthed.  In 1971 we watched a hare mosaic being uncovered and it is now in the excellent Corinium Museum with the hare now being a symbol for the town.  Around the town there are several hare sculptures and models, one such being this beside the former Abbey Fish Pond showing illustrations of the immediate area.
After leaving Cirencester we went south to Salisbury where this floral hare was sitting in the Market Square.
