Darters & Diggers

I was amazed at the shear number of dragonflies in the park today. They were racing around above my head, too fast to capture. But this one, the common darter, needed a rest and gave me a cheeky smile whilst he posed for the camera.

The, non-aggressive, ornate-tailed digger wasp however was far too busy to worry about me or Jak (who was flinging himself around me in the hopes I would play).
