Grey Heron

When I went to the loch this morning there were some teenagers playing loud music on the viewing platform. The little female heron (pictured) was on top of the dovecote but was not going to come down. I made my way round to the clearing and saw the nervous adult was waiting. Before I got there the little female had landed and had chased the nervous male on a bit. When I got there she was standing there with a beak full of his feathers! You can see this from the photo! The little moorhen was also there. I was able to feed them all although it took 3 attempts for the moorhen as the crows kept beating her to the fish. The nervous male was within throwing distance so got a good feed as well.
