Results Day
Early start, as picked Charlie and Heather up to get GCSE results for the boys. FK still as cool as a cucumber! We parked at school and loads there and a lovely buzz once envelopes started ripping. The boys met their mates and opened all their envelopes together with us hovering.
I couldn't be prouder of our quirky boy with his neurodiverse super powers. Privately we hugged and I told him how incredibly proud of him we are. Tricky as he seemed the only one in the group who was completely happy. We needed to tread carefully, which he seemed to do effortlessly. He'll be going into 6th form to take Maths, physics, geography and History at A level.
When all of his group were sorted we took 5 lads and 4 adults to the Bakehouse for a late brunch...all starving! A lot of chatter and laughter.
Once home we could congratulate him properly and he was quite overwhelmed, admitting he'd done better than he thought. I told him I'd be proud of him whatever his grades. He's a superstar in my eyes, who had put so much work into his studies. He has goals and dreams. So the little gift we gave him, plus a curry, his request, meant so much.
Still beaming from ear to ear!
