Diglis Island
Another warm, summer day, we'll miss them when they are gone.
Ann and I took a little drive to Diglis Island. On the River Severn the massive lock gates are used to navigate past the weir and into the river. Dating back to the 1840s the place used to be very busy with the industrial shipping wanting to enter the canal system. Now it caters mainly for holiday canal boats.
We watched a boat going through and then took a little walk onto the footbridge. There are a lot of lovely walks from there.
Later Ann went into town and I messed about with my photos. My Flickr account needs tidying up.
On her return we walked over to GoodRoots for a coffee. We must be becoming regulars there as the 'meeter and greeter' knew what we wanted before we ordered it!
The picture is taken on the footbridge.
