Trying to make light of the situation

I left work early to be with my Mum, my sister was already there. As we chatted away a staff member came in and informed us she was going for a CT Scan. She needed to use the en-suite first and my sister scooted over with the Zimmer frame for her. My Mum is still very poorly and we are all concerned for her. 

Now (tomorrow) we know the results of the said scans and we are even more worried...a surgeon is scheduling urgent surgery as I write this.
