Ms H joined us for a walk today, this is our usual chill point to admire the views. Then we were off up the toon toon on the train to see the closing film of the Edinburgh International Film Festival which has been troubled this year due to The Filmhouse closing. First we had dinner at Edinburgh Street Food at the Omni, which was my first visit and I was impressed. We all ordered separately from different places, and it all came to our table. This is the sort of thing I usually see in cities around the world and here we have it too.
Then the film, "Fremont", about an Afghan women in San Francisco who had been a translator for the US army and managed to get out but was finding her way in her new life. It was quite moving and funny. We'd planned to get a specific train back, but the event started 15 mins late, then the director talked about the film a bit so we went to the pub as we waited for the next train, ah well.
