Barbecue Night

The bar up at Montriond has a great idea for getting the punters in. Once a week they fire up their grills and we take our food offerings to put on them. There were six of us so we carried in sausages and burgers. They provide the buns and salad, plates and picnic cutlery. You don't even need to think about when to collect the finished article -they shout out your name when your dinner is cooked.

In the background beyond the grills is a spectacular view over the mountains and in the bar we are all fighting to buy another bottle of rosé.

With the kids having various meltdowns and the sun setting we polished off our supper and headed home.
