Very golden golden hour
Asha's been saving up pocket money to take Danny out for a day, a late present for his 40th. Today was that day! They played tennis, swam, went out for lunch, played board games in a cafe, and came home shattered but happy. She's been thinking about this day for soooo long, I'm glad they got to do it.
Meanwhile Nate and I bussed it to San Raf to see the ES guys. He needed extra tlc today as he felt a bit left out of the Asha-Daddy day.
Late afternoon we got an email saying a young woman was in need of help - sleeping rough on a beach, at risk of dehydration, mental health issues, no money etc. When Danny was home the 4 of us drove to go find her. The bar nearby showed us where he base camp was but no sign of her - we left bottles of water and food, and waited (hence the blip!) & prayed for her. We'll go back tomorrow and see what we can do to help, if we can actually help.
Extra is of the flamingoes as we parked up.
Today I'm grateful for;
1) Nate chatting away all day. He's so good at understanding how he feels and why, and then expressing it.
2) Witnessing this beauty in amongst the concern for the woman.
3) Asha and Danny having their day.
