Most people are strangers to the Police station. Perhaps only visiting once or twice in their life, that visit will almost certainly be for something negative: to report a loss, a car crash or collect an errant child from the custody Sergeant.

People who work in the local nick, or those who visit regularly probably never stop to note just how dreary the public areas are. Today I had five minutes sitting looking at these posters. Uplifting they ain't.

I honestly think that we in the UK have the best police in the world, despite the best efforts of our crappy politicians. Don't believe everything anything you read in the Daily Mail.
