Fun with the Foxes at the Fringe
We enjoyed a fun-filled day of Fringe fun with the Foxes today.
Our morning's entertainment was Shakespeare for breakfast's amusing adaption of A midsummer's night dream. After lunch at home and a Catan win for me, this afternoon we saw our old-time favourite Mitch Benn in Bristo Square.
The best performer of the day was Ivo Graham. We saw his debut Fringe run ten years ago in a tiny room in August 2013. This evening he filled one of the largest halls in the Pleasance for an hour of very clever, interactive comedy. No wonder there are no tickets left for the rest of his Edinburgh run.
We had a bit of a shock while we were waiting in the queue for Ivo Graham's show. We were wondering what had become of Tom Binns (Ivan Brackenbury/Ian D Montfort) as we reminisced about past shows at the Pleasance. Had he been performing at the Fringe this year, we would have almost certainly have bought tickets for Binns' show. Now we know the reason for his absence in Edinburgh this month.
We ended the evening with supper at the City restaurant. The venue and menu were perfect for our needs - thank you Ridgeback13 for the recommendation!
My blip shows Mr Fox and Clarissa at Bristo Square prior to Mitch Benn's show.
Exercise today: walking (12,522 steps).
