George's Soda Sandwich Shoppe

Blipped this evening in midtown Harrisonburg, Virginia. The place is long closed and the interior is piled high with old boxes and stuff, but the stools and bar are still visible underneath it all.

We ended up in Harrisonburg after an aborted effort to visit the Skyline Drive, which runs along the ridge of the hills to the east of the Shenandoah Valley. The mist was so thick that we could hardly see the car in front, and we missed the Information Centre entirely. So now we're booked into the Marriot for a couple of nights in the hope that the rain and cloud clears...
