Via Rhona

Another fantastic, if hot, day cycling along the Vua Rhona. We had a great buffet breakfast and we’re in the road by 8am. It was a great temperature at that point. We stopped to take photos and admire the scenery along the way. Sometimes the Rhone was full and moving quickly and other times it looked more like a pond. We had an ice cream stop then a lunch stop at a bakery where we sat outside with the 78 year old owner who told us stories of the village, the pilgrims that pass through and other interesting information.

We cycled to our hotel, swam in the pool and sat in the shade trying to cool down. The temperature peaked at 36 degrees. The meal in the restaurant was delicious and we hadn’t realised that it was quite famous (mainly for frogs legs!).

63 km today.
