Early every morning the Herons glide in and take their place along the beach. Each seems to have a territory, and they are fairly evenly spaced.
I have seen their show often enough over the years, I take them for granted.. I have my own tasks to do: listen to podcasts, read the news, do crosswords, sudoku, puzzles, and BLIP…you know, important stuff. When I looked up, in thought, this is what I saw.

This silly Heron was looking over our neighbour’s wall, at her cabin. I have no idea what it was fishing for. I took the extra first, then realized I could use the tree as a screen to sneak up on it, and blip it.

Voila! Isn't he handsome…or she…pretty?
