Visiting the city

Not sure if I related the tale of Mrs. Ottawacker's nephew's son on this forum, but a while ago he was diagnosed, very suddenly and at a very young age (17), with a massive brain tumour. He and his mother spent a while here with us while he was receiving treatment - they are from North Bay, which doesn't have an appropriate wing for children. Having received the fantastic news that it wasn't cancerous, and because not all of it could be removed, it was time for a six-month check up, which, because of the complete ineptitude of the provincial government leading to staffing shortages, became a nine-month check up. So once more, we had visitors.

Mrs Ottawacker's nephew (pictured) drove them down, and we had ribs and salads and, of course, beer. It was good to see them both - and M.O's.N's.S. even showed Ottawacker Jr. a few moves on the xBox.

All appears to be well.
