More experimenting

Played about with yesterday's idea and made a crochet bracelet.

Was at GP today as asthma just not settling. On steroids for a week which will hopefully help it to calm down.
Have to say everyone at EHC most helpful. We always get such great care there.
It annoys me when GPs get blasted in the press as they did today when for the most part they are all doing such an amazing job.

I remember when working in a hospital in Glasgow many years ago there was a particularly virulent strain of flu hitting staff and patients alike. One weekend we had over 100 admissions and many patients we would have preferred not to send home had to be discharged as in comparison to those needing the beds they were not so urgent. We were incredibly stretched for staff and all the major hospitals had no beds left. Our sensible managers
( no sarcasm here at all) opened up one of the redundant wards had it cleaned equipped and staffed it with agency staff so some of the less urgent cases could be decanted allowing the more urgent admissions to get a bed .
The press blasted them for staffing a ward with agency staff.
Basically we can't win!
