Not in Wimbledon!

I saw another two postbox toppers today including this one of the Wombles! But we are not in Wimbledon. It is because the author of the Wombles Elizabeth Beresford  lived here. The first Wombles book was written in 1968 when she lived in WImbledon ..she moved to Alderney in the 1970’s and lived in a little cottage which now has a blue plaque on it.

Good weather today, a bit over cast in the morning but sunny this afternoon so good to go to the beach. The children and their parents did swim but I only  paddled!
