Up early waiting on a parcel. Sat in the sun, so not too much of a hardship having to wait... :)

Read mum's Irish cookery book by Darina Allen. Loads of recipes I want to try. Funny that I come to France and want a piece of Ireland.

Home via the pharmacy to pick up the citric acid I'd ordered for my elderflower cordial. ?8 for 10g!

Made spelt soda bread. Did a bit at my PC. Walked to the shop. Went elderflower foraging with dad. He brought a massive crook/stick thing he'd made so that we could pull branches closer to us but then lost it down into a ditch filled with briars, thistles etc! Ooops. We got loads of flower heads and then went and picked some cherries. I ate so many I felt sick! Bloody gorgeous.

Home to make the cordial. Felt weird pouring the boiling water over the flower heads and them dying in front of me...turning a lifeless brown colour.

Amazing dinner and a Skype before bed :)
