Room with a view

Bailey and I have travelled to Scarborough with the favourite people and have lucked out on the weather having booked these two days at the start of the holidays. Blue skies and sunshine are the order of the day.

We left Lincoln a bit before half ten and listened to the England match on the way up, arriving in Scarborough in extra time. Disappointed with the final score but they have done well along the way.

We managed to drop bikes off and get a parking permit on arrival and got a spot very close to the hotel. A walk down to South Bay for something to eat and a walk (and run for Bailey and his favourite people) back on the sand before we checked in. Lovely spacious rooms and this view. We’re impressed with all the hotel has to offer and will enjoy our two nights.

The cyclists headed out for a ride whilst Bailey and I stayed and I read before we headed out for a walk across the bridge and along the path back towards South Bay and then back again.

The cyclists got back just after us and as Bailey was sort of eating his tea so a drink in the bar before a good dinner at the hotel and then a walk for ice cream which was selected well. Back to the hotel and we’ll all sleep well to the sound of the sea, hopefully.
