"Leaving On A Jet Plane"

This morning Julia, Isabella and Harriet, boarded an RAF Voyager aircraft flying from RAF Akrotiri to the UK.
This is the last time, unless she's lucky enough to get posted back to Cyprus in the future. It is the end of a fabulous 3 year tour for her and the girls. Hetty and Bella were nearly 2 when they left to live in Cyprus, they are now 4 years old (last January). They are certainly going to miss it, the sea, beaches, warm weather, friends, the water park and the great pre-school they attended on the base.
On the other hand, a new life, school, new friends and experiences await them on the other side of the country, in Suffolk. It's a drive of over 3 hours to get to them from Gloucester but we will certainly see more of them than during the past 3 years, although they did come back for all too brief holidays. I also had a very memorable week with them in August 2021.
Welcome back girls, all three of you, it's nice to have you home.

The moth, is just an added interest as I don't often get a decent photograph of butterflies or moths.
I believe this is called a Large Yellow Underwing, after looking it up on The Wildlife Trust moth identification website.
