Sunset Landing

My neighbour Archie came over our house this morning to watch the Women's World Cup final of England v Spain (played in Australia) on my big screen. It was a thrilling match between two evenly matched teams but unfortunately Spain won 1-0.

Mrs BB went swimming at the local pool and it was very quiet, obviously due to the footie!

After the match finished, being a lovely warm sunny day, we went on a cycle ride from home (Goodrich, Herefordshire UK) to Pencraig, Llangarron, Llangrove, Whitchurch, the top of the Doward Hill Fort and return, some 16 miles.

I cut the lawns and after other gardening jobs we enjoyed a couple of hours sat outside in the evening sun, me with a cold cider and Mrs BB a white wine. More like the summer we should be having!

The red Virgin hot air balloon could be seen coming down as the sun was starting to set, over the A40 dual carriageway at Pencraig but it avoided the road and might just be heading to Goodrich Cricket club fields which are to the right of the photo'.

I've not seen one coming down around here so presume it's an emergency landing on the flat green fields of the cricket club!
