Saunton/Croyde

We checked out of our rooms then went to watch the England vs Spain Football Match on one of the hotel's screens.  Sadly for us Spain won - but Susana was obviously very glad.
We enjoyed a delicious lunch at the Thatch in Croyde with an old school friend of Simon's and his girlfriend.  Wandered around the market afterwards before heading back to Barnstaple. I was dropped off before the family headed off to their next port of call.
In extra I rather liked the etching on my gin glass at lunch. A gorgeous little puffin....
Home alone now....a bit sad, but a lot of memories made and hopefully will get to Spain to see the family later in September or October.
Interestingly today we had the best weather - shame as the kids will be in a car for 2 hours instead of enjoying the warmer day.
