Hiking up Hell’s Gorge (Höllschlucht)

A very lazy morning watching some of the athletics world championships, followed by a hike up Hell’s Gorge (Höllschlucht) along and over the water falls of the river Riesachbach. Again absolutely stunning scenery and photo opportunities… Quite a strenuous walk up (climbing 350m in 1300 m), but absolutely worthwhile! The trail is one way traffic (only up). So after cooling off at the Riesachsee and had some much needed refreshments at the hut, before taking the easy road down. A lovely Sunday afternoon!
