This is Diana, revealing the cake she’d organised for the birthday of James, one of our team members here. There was a good singalong and large sparkler/candle at the end of the working day.

‘It’s going to be a tough weekend for you in terms of sports’, said Dennis, referring to the England women’s team teaching the World Cup final. I am increasingly uninterested in football of any persuasion, so it’s not high on my radar. However I was chuffed as cheese that this was dropped into casual conversation in a country where women are definitely not seen as equals, especially in areas traditionally dominated by men.
