Trench
Shopping in Dar es Salaam supermarkets continues to be a vibe, lacking both rhyme and reason. Boxes of barely identifiable bashed up Dorset Cereals for 30,000 Tanzania shillings, approximately £10. Bags of melted and reformed Thorntons toffee for 1,000 shillings, approximately 30 pence. Obviously, I stocked up on the latter from the clearance display.
Next to where I live there is a trench filled with a mixture of sand bags and trash. If it helps with drainage, I support its presence. Although the road still gets very flooded in heavy rain, so more attentive trench works possibly needed.
