and you turn inside for a while
In all my years of living in Ayrshire, I've never experienced such a stunning scene as I did tonight.
I went out for a cycle to Eglinton Park, following the cycle route, which I've never walked let alone cycled on. I wasn't disappointed.
It's moments like this that make me realise just how special a country Scotland is, that we shouldn't be downtrodden about being a small nation, it's such an inspirational place to live, from it's cities to it's countryside all the coastline, there's nothing that can't in a moment take your breath away in the sheer wonder of it all.
Anyway, as I was saying, I went for a cycle tonight, got some nice photos and am hard choosed to pick one, I've added a couple more to my Blipfolio if you care to have a look.
For once I went out without earphones clamped round my ears, it was nice to hear the birdsong and whispering of the trees. There were a couple songs popped into my head as I surveyed the view.
Van Morrison's Spirit being one.
As he sings, "never let spirit die"
