Beggars cant be choosers

Ragwort grown especially for the cinnabar caterpillars.
Cabbages grown especially for the cabbage white caterpillars - NOT!!!!!!!!! The bottom photo was actually taken yesterday and by today they have virtually stripped the plants.
Storm Betty raged last night.The electricity went off about 11pm and didnt return until 10 am today. Part of a large tree came down but managed to not hit anything important in the garden. The apples stayed  on the tree but the same can't be said of the plums.
