Arcachon

I left the Il de Ré this morning after a super week with daughter Julia and family. It’s a great place for a family holiday but lunch with old friends. Alain and Marie Claude used to live near Angouleme but they have downsized to a perfect house in one of the oyster villages at Arcachon.

I hadn’t seen them for over four years. We had a good catch up on families. After a coffee and hit the road eastwards. It was so good to see them.

By Monday I will be in the Alps.
