hens

Well, we needn't have worried - Storm Betty passed by in the night and by the time we were all on our way to Kirkcudbright, there was enough blue in the sky to make a whole shipful of sailors' trousers.

The Grand Parade was a blast, as usual, with floats, pipe bands, silver band, horses, fancy dress and walking football. Carrying the banner for the football was blipper sheilwill, who came over to say hello with her husband willllwynbedw. We had never met in person before, but as Sheila said, because of Blip, we feel as though we have known each other forever. That was so lovely.

On our way home, some of us Sisters stopped for tea and cake at the cafe in Threave Gardens. A man behind us in the queue thought we were out for a hen party..
