Tall Ships - 1
I have been looking forward to this week for a while, Tall Ships Falmouth 2023.
As I recall my first dealings with the Tall Ships was during Keil Week in the mid ‘70’s and I have either attended or volunteered several events since as well as seeing them in different parts of the world during my time in the Navy.
So following a briefing over a bacon buttie and coffee breakfast I, and three others allocated to the same ship, made our way to Falmouth Docks.
Turning the corner the sight seen in todays main photo greeted us, magnificent.
We made our way to our ship, the Polish ‘Dar Mlodziezy’ which translates to ‘Gift of Youth’. The next twelve hours passed in a whirl of activity, 3,900 visitors just to our ship and the Fredryck Chopin tied alongside her.
Great day, very rewarding, very tiring but a great first day experience. As a Liasion Officers we learnt some lessons and will come back better tomorrow.
Todays extras were selected from amongst the dozens taken.
