Laburnum

When the council cut back the vegetation at the end of our road they left this Laburnum tree which rather surprised me as most parts of it are poisonous and with so much attention on health and safety I had expected it to be removed.
It is a beautiful tree in the evening light, an old name for it is "Golden Chain Tree" According to Wikapedia the wood is good for cabinet making and musical instruments, particuarly bagpipes.
I expect it will be a few years before this tree is large enough to make a set of pipes so no immediate danger!
