Busy day today, last minute preparations for my departure later, then take K2  for dentist’s appointment. Dropped her off for a walk with K and the dogs, then lunch before taking K2 to Newport railway station to get Burton on Trent train (via Bristol Parkway). Straight back to drop K home and headed off to Shropshire.
Arrived in the middle of nowhere after straightforward three-hour journey, with a brief stop at a chippy in Craven Arms. I’m doing a house-sit for the next ten days at an old Smithy (Blacksmith’s), an old stone building with stone flag floors and a winding timber staircase (mostly solid) to the bathroom overlooking the valley. Place is steeped in history so it’ll be interesting to see what comes up, the peace is disturbed only by the occasional passing car, and I mean occasional.
