Ship Ahoy.
Proud day.
Never in my family’s wildest dreams would we have thought that a McDowall would guide the PS Waverley down the Clyde.
This is son Neil on the bridge of Waverley yesterday.
He is only on board for a short while before his permanent post with Marine Scotland.
His career this year has been interesting to say the least as he was almost in the Falkland Islands at one point for a three month stint but due to bad weather there his flight was delayed.
Meanwhile he got an offer of a permanent with MS starting in September hence the Waverley.
Funny how things turn out but as he’s been doing temporary work with MS he knows that that is the position for him.
Some extra’s.
Have a great weekend folks and stay safe.
PS if you ever get a chance to go on Waverley do so it great.
