Giant fungus
First day after the holiday and I was up early to put on the washing machine. It was a super windy day, perfect for drying but unfortunately, the slick wash-peg out-repeat routine was halted in the early afternoon when the first drops of rain fell. However, I am very fortunate that I have the perfect indoor space for drying washing in the (former) garage which houses our log boiler and the accompanying enormous hot water tank so the washing process can continue, albeit at a slower rate due to restricted space.
Thank you for all the sparkles that have been bestowed on my holiday blips. All comments, stars and hearts were very much appreciated and it was enjoyable to have some of you accompanying me along the way. Sorry there has been a lack of blips for the past week. The rot started when I didn’t even have phone signal on one of our camping spots. However, I will do my best to catch up over the weekend.
Today’s blip is of the enormous fungus I came across in the upper reaches of the garden. It was at least ten inches (25cm) in diameter! I don’t think I have ever seen a single, free-standing fungus of such proportions.
