swimming box turtle

I'll be 52 this year, and I've seen all sorts of interesting things in my explorations in Nature, but I never realized these guys were able to swim.

Z and I went out very early about 5am and I enjoyed the morning light and the good feeling of moving my arms in the kayak.

This guy was just cruising across the lake going somewhere for some reason.
