Those little touches..

Most days I’ve noticed things in our holiday home which have caught my attention. It’s truly been a holiday home put together with its guests in mind. We think one of the owners is an artist judging by the glass and paintings. This lighthouse was on one of the windows in our amazing bathroom. (We’ve been in the huge loft conversion where the bathroom had a free-standing bath, a basin and toilet in the old style, plus a separate shower cubicle across the other side of the room. .. Thank you Marion!)

So today we’ve said our goodbyes for now and made our separate ways home. I think the weather was disappointed too as it rained all night and as we had breakfast. Later, the sun shone and we sat out in our garden here when we got home.

Valerie’s blood tests results from Wednesday were not good, so no chemotherapy tomorrow but instead, as she and Neil got into their car to drive to Yeovil, she was called in for a blood transfusion this afternoon. Several hours and two bags of blood later she is home but very tired, grateful that there was a reason for her dizziness and nausea yesterday and this morning. She writes she’s looking forward to a new burst of energy within the next few days….
