Rosemary
For the first time in many years a rosemary bush in the garden has:
a. Survived the winter.
b. Produced flowers.
Maybe the two conditions are related. I suppose that if the bush didn't survive the winter, it couldn't hope to produce flowers, but even bushes that had been bought early in spring didn't produce flowers that summer. Now our bush has fulfilled both a) and b) and produced little pale blue orchid-like flowers. I suppose we should really prune them off to add more strength to the plant, but is seemed such a shame after the bush had gone to the trouble to produce the flowers in the first place. Let them have their day in the sun.
