Eyes on

Rosie and I got up early doors and set forth to Devon. It was a long drive but a lovely one- just two little motorway bits and the rest ambling through the lovely English countryside. We stopped several times for her to stretch her legs, she doesn’t like travelling in the van much at all. I was loving it all until the last ten miles- all single track roads. I don’t mind a little bit of the single tracks but ten miles a bit too much for my happiness. An unfortunate bit of a tractor necessitated reversing and and unseen verge due to mirror issues resulted in a bump at the back of my lovely van, which made me sad. And annoyed at the money and time it will take to resolve but I think it’s just the bumper.

Anyway, sadness besides, this is a glorious campsite. Hannah arrived soon after us, my new awning tent is a triumph, we had a bbq of big prawns- literally my favourite meal ever. It’s all very good with all the nice days ahead of us.

And Rosie is always a big fan of a bbq, she has to remain v attentive throughout.
