My cousin Susan’s garden. Rawtenstall.

Rossendale Valley. Lancashire.
Quite a smooth journey up the M6, M60, and M66. Glad we weren’t going South however! Nose to tail in places.
Glorious sunshine,
We had an excellent lunch at a pub with my cousin.
My dad used to take us all there, so it was a trip down memory lane.
Then we sat in her beautiful garden later till going up towards 6.00pm.
So good to see her and reminisce.
She and her sister Margaret were really like two more sisters to me just being one year between each of us.
Margaret was blind from being around 9 years old, and sadly died in 2016.
We all miss her as she was good fun! In her lifetime she had 5 consecutive Guide dogs, and worked as an Audio Typist with Social Services.
A lovely evening for the next bit of our journey to stay here at the Premier Inn just outside Skipton in Gargrave.
I’ll finish here. And hopefully the wifi will load up this blip. It took ages to load the photo. But it’s worked. So that’s ok.
It’s Stephen’s cousin Jean’s funeral in the morning, and we’ll be having the deep joy of negotiating the M6 South later in the day, and it’s a Friday!
I always think of our Matt, and Chris who died with him at Junction 11a on the M6, whenever we drive past. A kind of homage to them both,
Well, I’ll see if this will load up and post!
It took ages for the photo.
Thankyou for all your kind comments yesterday. It was very touching.
