Threes

Troubles come in threes usually, and after yesterday I should have expected something more….
We were moments into our walk, just crossed the road, when the Ridgeback and the GoldenDoodle (on the other side of the junction) spotted Jake and set to barking, ignored by their female owners who were chatting. The (rather large) Ridgeback decided this wasn’t sufficient and charged across to us*.
I enthusiastically defended both Jake and myself**, by turning the air blue and swinging the end of Jake’s lead around.
All the dogs in the surrounding gardens joined in the bark chorus***, a car had to stop or run over the stupid, rocks for brains Ridgeback and eventually the even more stupid owner managed to catch her dog and affix the lead.

* Yes, dogs are legally supposed to be on leads, especially on the street.
** Not planning on being bitten again.
*** Sorry Julie, yes that noise was my fault.
