Last Day

Our time in Northumberland comes to a close and what a rollercoaster of emotions it has been.  Very much like their wonderful rollercoaster of roads, up and down.

The morning was tidying the house of everything Nats mum had brought over.  I mentioned before that her heart was in the right place but very unnecessary of the extra work it caused everyone.  Bunting in all the rooms, flowers real or otherwise in all the rooms, vases, plates, trays.  The very large dining table was absolutely full of stuff for her to come and collect.  She came over during the morning to load up and was unwell due to overdoing it the past week but there was more than one load to do so Mr C and I took some too and walked into Corbridge whilst we were there.  In the afternoon Mr C and Sim continued to transport stuff with Mr C also doing a visit to the tip at the same time.

In the evening we had an Indian takeaway and Nat’s brother and girlfriend joined us.

We have loved the little bit of Northumberland we have seen and would like to come back and have a more relaxed visit to explore and see more of what it has to offer.
