Me and My Shadow……

The winter sun was just up and casting golden light on the naked poplars and long shadows on the grass. Of course, one shadow is me and the other small one is my faithful pooch, Maisie, sitting nicely beside me.
Friend Lynette came around this morning to join me in a session of gardening. We did a lot of work over a few hours and enjoyed lunch sitting in the sun under the pergola. The animals kept us entertained and there was a little Grey Warbler (Riorio) in nearby trees singing it’s little heart out. Such a tuneful and pretty sound. Bless it.
