Mellow Yellow

My Laburnum tree seem to be lighting up the back garden now. I'd never looked at it closely enough to see these pretty markings on the petal.

Other good garden news is that our neighbour who recently moved in is tackling the mess of a garden that the previous owner could never get on top of. The sound of a chainsaw has been heard and the straggly over-high hedge and all the brambles that grow through it have been clear-felled, giving us so much more light and a good feeling of spaciousness on that side. Marvellous!
