Blurred
My Dear Princess and Dear Fellow,
Tonight Manda, Jefe and I took part in the pub quiz at The Duke. It was actually a lot of fun and a pretty good quiz.
It was organised by Luke, who is a cheeky fellow. And basically twisted the arm of a lot of Kainga Ora people to show up. These included Simon F. my old team leader back when I was a Business Analyst and not a Data Analyst.
I like Simon F. He's fun. More importantly he enjoys whisky. But I saw he was on the white wine so I left him alone.
Buuuuuut... Manda wanted to try the Laphroaig so we got three of them.
"Hmmmm... I think I prefer Bowmore," said Simon F.
So we got in three Bowmores.
THEN - I guess because he'd drunk a bottle of wine and two whiskies, Simon went up again and got some randoms.
I was fine. I'd been drinking my safety beer* all night. Simon F.... not so much.
There was a singing round where the music dropped and you had to fill in the lyrics. Only Simon kept on singing. Quite loudly. He was having a heck of a time. I think he thought we were at the karaoke.
It goes without saying we did not win. But we enjoyed ourselves immensely.
And this morning SOMEONE was feeling pretty blurry.
