Pioneers

The city where my sis lives has this lovely statue of the pioneers who settled here in 1964 when the polder was ready for living and working there. Most settlers were farmers as the polder was realized for farmland and in the few villages and two towns of Lelystad and Dronten the first shopkeepers and doctors and dentists  and schools with teachers etc. arrived of course too.
