Two For One

On a slow dog walk with Meg this afternoon, a circuit from Rhydyronen via Cynfal, there were lots of butterflies but in the warm sunshine they were very active.  Patience was needed to capture these two at rest, a Common Blue and a Wall Brown.   The former lives up to it's name and is both common and blue.  The Wall Brown is a scarce butterfly but seemingly quite common locally as I have seen them in this area before on a number of occasions.

It was a slow walk because I was picking blackberries along the way, a big panful now sits on the hob and will be cooked up and juiced in the morning.  Too late to deal with after work tonight, an uneventful sunset train shift at Aber cafe.  My time afterwards spent with Jamie who is suffering some very disturbing side effects from the drug used to bring his asthma under control while he was in hospital last week.  He's staying at mine tonight as 111 advised it was best if he wasn't left on his own.   The whole situation has run my batteries down rather, so having him here is actually much easier than shuttling back and forth, often late into the night as can happen.
