Sunshine and laughs

Spent the morning down at Porty beach, walking along the prom and enjoying a coffee and bacon roll sitting in the sun. Home in time to go and see The Ice Hole which was brilliant…hundreds of handmade cardboard props, a storyteller speaking mainly in mock Icelandic and a frantic brilliant mime actor bringing on all the props and acting out everything from a seagull, to a nazi pilot, a mermaid and a fly. Very clever, incredible planning and laugh out loud funny!
We walked via a lovely gelato at Mary’s Milk Bar to the Traverse to see Thrown by the National Theatre of Scotland. Lots of good elements and some funny dialogue and clever choreography/staging but it seemed to end a bit flat.
Home (walking whilst checking up on P who is still undergoing tests in hospital but seems stable and eating and drinking ok) for some salad for supper before out to see ‘Kathy and Stella solve a murder’ a very well conceived and performed musical theatre piece about a true crime podcast. Bags full of energy and very well sung….an upbeat end to a good day!
